Just right to replace missing handles in our Georgian home
The hardest part was making my mind up which finish I wanted. TBKS have a user-friendly and informative website and they processed our order efficiently and with a series of up-dates. Delivery was fast and the items were really sensibly packaged, to withstand anything a courier service might do with them. This was particularly welcome because deliveries to Belfast are often subject to very rough treatment!
No point in having a smart new letter plate without the cover. Just the final detail we needed.
Delighted with our decision to go for this timeless design and size, and polished nickel finish, rather than retain original small letter plate for our new front door, which replicates 1930's timber original and retains stained glass panels.

Speedy response - item arrived within 20 hours of ordering; and it was exactly what I required. I was able to fix the problem (of a broken latch in our home's lounge door) within 22 hours of actually discovering the problem.
A more or less perfect fit into the existing recess in my wooden door; I only had to shave off a millimetre depth of wood with a rasp (top and bottom only) of the existing round hole where our previous (now broken) latch had sat. Then the new unit just slipped into place, and perfectly matched the alignment for both side door-handles' connecting square axle. The replacement job was so simple and hassle-free to accomplish. I thought the packaging and postage cost was just minutely expensive - being more than twice the cost of the unit itself. I should really have ordered two or three of the units, for the same P&P charge, and keep the others as spares for the next time I might need them. By comparing the new with the 'old' unit, I was able to discover that the old one had suffered a snapping off of a key metallic 'shoulder' distance-piece lug, rendering the unit nonfunctional for freeing the latch so that the door could be opened. O good mechanical design, however.
Very well made and well packaged item complete with chromed metal screw caps for the retaining screws. Not complicated to fit (there are no instructions) but you may well need to cut the retaining screws to length. For that you will need to confident with a hacksaw and basic measuring.
