The Kirkpatrick Smooth Iron Thumb Latch With Cranked Handle is a classically designed piece of black iron door furniture, made to suit period properties and traditional homes. This latch has been made using tried and tested ironmongery techniques with a special powder coating applied for a great finish, before being baked further for added durability.
Kirkpatrick is a traditional British ironwork company known for producing exclusively handmade and high-quality door, cabinet and window furniture and homeware accessories.

Using age old casting techniques, they are creating malleable iron door and window furniture from patterns created over 150 years ago. Very strong and durable, every piece is handcrafted and must not be confused with other imported black iron ranges.

How To Order: To obtain a quote for international delivery, place your order as usual and click 'Request a quote' at checkout. We will obtain a quote and be in touch to discuss the delivery price and take payment.
All international deliveries will be charged at cost. We will attempt to find the most economical method to deliver the goods in a safe and secure manner.
You, the Customer, may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note that customs policies vary widely from country to country and we recommend you contact your local customs office for further information.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Our aim is to dispatch all orders placed before 2pm within 2 working days. Any orders placed after that time will be processed on the next available working day. This excludes Weekends and Public Holidays. Please bear in mind our stated lead times when placing your order.
"In Stock" means the product is carried in stock at TBKS or at works.
We will send you a notification email when your order has been dispatched with an expected delivery date depending on which service you have selected.
During extremely busy periods dispatch times may increase by up to one day.
How can I track the status of my order?
You will receive an email to confirm we have received your order and that your payment has been accepted. You will also receive an email when your order has been dispatched.
Any orders sent using our courier service can be tracked online using the tracking number you will receive. Our courier will send updates on your delivery via text/email, including a date/time window for delivery. You can also change this delivery window, pick up the parcel from an approved point or specify delivery to a neighbour.
What days will my order be delivered on?
Our couriers deliver between 08:00 at 17:00 Monday to Friday.
Collect in person
You are able to collect your order from our premises by choosing the relevant option at the checkout. At this point delivery charges will be removed. You can collect your order from:

We appreciate that ironmongery, can involve style and design decisions as well as many practical considerations. We want you to feel you can make a purchase with confidence knowing that we will happily accept a return and give you a full refund if it’s not right for you.
When you receive your goods, please check them carefully and notify us within 14 days of receipt should they prove unsuitable in anyway. We will provide you with a Returns Number and a Returns Form to include with your parcel.
Please ensure all fixings are enclosed with the products you are returning.
You may want to keep the boxes and packaging that we send them in so you can re-use it if you need to return anything. If you haven’t kept it don’t worry, please pack your parcel carefully to ensure that none of the component parts get damaged in transit.
You are responsible for returning the goods to us safely and securely at your own expense. We recommend that you use a tracked service that provides adequate insurance as the items are your responsibility until we have received them. Royal Mail offer a 1st and 2nd Class Signed for Service which is usually adequate for these purposes.
Providing the goods are received undamaged, complete and in a condition to resell, we will provide you with a full refund within 14 days of receiving your return.

Faulty or Missing Items
We hope that you receive your order in perfect condition. Please let us know within 3 working days if you have any items that are missing, damaged or faulty. We will need your name and order number and if items are damaged or faulty please provide us with full details, including photos if possible, to ensure we resolve the situation quickly.
